I'd be very interested. I'm currently on an Orcon unbundled exchange in Titirangi, and currently get about 700K upload, and download can be a bit variable. My ADSL modem tends to reset if I run it at full speed for more than a couple of minutes.

Why - I work from home quite a bit and some of that involves reasonable data transfer's with the systems I manage.

What would be really nice is as our Office and Colo both use Orcon connections would be to have that data zero or special rated as my current data cap often isn't enough.

garvani: Check your sync rate to the exchange/cabinet, if your syncing at around 20mbit then you would qualify.. anything less than that and there wont be much point in trialling vdsl2 as your not going to get the speed benefits.

I'm only getting about 7mbit it seems, so I guess that counts me out... shame :(
ADSL Speed (DS/US): 7355/1020 Kbps

Now I wonder if there's anything I can do to get that speed up anyway...

Thanks for all the interest guys. As Simon (soundude) said, he will get in touch with some of you (who are suitable candidates based on your location) over the next little while when he is ready to expand the trial.

Great to see so many people are keen to give it a go.

I'd certainly be keen.

Currently on Orcon+ in Takapuna, moving to Birkenhead at start of July.

I'm clueful.

I'm in Pakuranga, Cascades Road - I fled Telecom because of terrible service and love Orcon: responding to the tweet - I'm clueful and willing to be put through a trial!

On Platinum+ in Ellerslie, at outer limits of distance from exchange, but you really need to test the full spectrum of situations (hint, hint)

If people could post their current ADSL line stats, that would be useful for me.

Cheers.

hmm im getting the feeling people are not aware of what vdsl2 actually is and what is required.

Basically in a nutshell, you need to be less than a km from your exchange / cabinet for vdsl2 to be of any use, ultimatley you would want to be a couple of hundred metres from it (check your sync rate, it must be higher than 20mbit presently for you to benefit from vdsl2).
