Anyone know if this is still going on? I have a user who's on vodafone, and connecting to our vpn on spark (fibre, kingsland) who's got so much lag they can't use it :(

I'm getting 50ms from the spark end to anything on VF, which is kinda crap, but not that bad - via Sydney. 4ms from voyager tho.

From my monitoring, all paths have returned for normal for me (on 2degrees network)

Wow @NickMack that smokeping thing is super handy. I might have to see if I can run that here, and at work…

I think so, there are a bunch of similar tools about, I also use Grafana.

I monitor a bunch of stuff via my UFB connection at home and via Azure in Sydney and California to triangulate :-)  Like all tools, it's the time identifying what you want to monitor and setting it up. Happy to add a few points of interest to mine if that's of value.

Nick.

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.
