CYaBro:

Linux: It is called working as designed

Cool, so everyone who says they don’t have cell coverage and only wifi calling yet also got the alert are wrong?

@CYaBro What is your problem? I am telling you how it works and the alerts are not delivered over Wi-Fi calling the handsets that got the alert must have some mobile coverage even if very very weak

Move on!

Yep, also confirming both S23Us on the latest software, on 2D, no notifications. This is the first time it didn't alert us on our devices.

rugrat:

I report it every time. I keep bumping the mute switch top left side. With the physical mute on there is no audio on the phone and I don’t feel it vibrate in my pocket.

Normally this isn’t a problem as calls and texts go through to my Apple Watch so I’m aware of them that way.

The emergency alert for some reason does not go through to watch. I’ve reported it the last three times so I’m not going to let them know a fourth time.

Just to clarify, the Apple Watch will display the alerts if it's a cellular capable model. From memory it doesn't need to actually have an active plan, but it needs to have the cellular radio for the alerts to work.

My wife and I both got it (Spark and One). Both iPhones that were on silent so only vibration alerta but I was wearing my Garmin so it came through on my wrist.

Correct. My AW6 (Cellular) got the alert but my partners AW6 (Wi-Fi only) did not in the same room on the same provider (One).

It's geofenced. So region is probably more of a help than just model and provider.

What I'm reading between the lines is it seems Canterbury was hit and miss on 2d

I've got an S20 FE on 2D. Have previously received the alerts. Didn't get one this time.

Wife has an otherwise identical S20 FE but on Voda, she received it.

In Napier, 3 x Android phones.  2 x One (a 2 year old Samsung and cheap Vodafone house brand) both received fine.

My aging Nokia on 2degrees got nothing but has previously received all nationwide tests and lockdown alerts.  I reported my findings within the hour including telco.  Weird they didn't ask for telco as I would have thought that would be kinda important information to troubleshoot issues.
