Well my first hop from Christchurch is

v4.cpchn-hn-bng1.tranzpeer.net (101.98.0.123)

Don't think the cpc prefix stands for Courtenay Place, I was thinking Call Plus Core (FX Network). Remember CallPlus/Slingshot together with Compass had a nationwide ADSL2+ exchange roll out based on the FX network.

The "hn" probably stands for Enable Hornby POI or out dated DNS. It's minimal latency so not Hamilton.

Would be interested to know which 2degrees BNG I am on. Guess I will find out either on the 19th or 22nd.

Just a follow-up to my earlier post, looks like the 2degrees core network has upped sticks and moved around Auckland in the past couple of months, not saying this has directly contributed to any outages mentioned in this thread but interesting to note nonetheless:

Lease expiry required the relocation of the 2 Degrees data centre from [191 Queen Street] to a new site in Mt Wellington
