Orcon are poor at looking after their customers, I have had zero communication from them after numerous calls  and to be honest it is just not good enough.

I'm not sure how anyone else is getting on after moving elsewhere but if its been good let me know because Ive had it with these guys.

tardtasticx: Well I actually like dealing with Orcon. It's nice talking to a New Zealander.

hmmm by New Zealander you really mean a foreigner with very little command of the English language as that's what I've had with the last 3 calls to Orcon support don't get me wrong I'm not a bigot but frack me if your going to hire people to answer your phones make damn sure they can speak clear and concise English

{MOD EDIT : SP : Removed racist term}

the problem here is mate that a lot of telecom wholesale plans are sold with  FS/128. Basically if your upload speed is capped, so is your download, as download speeds are also dependant on upload speeds.

So someone at orcon should have picked up you where on a 128 capped plan a lot earlier. doesn't suprise me that no one at orcon picked up on it.

as for their staff not being to good, they are one of the lowest paying ISP's in NZ. Everyone with half a brain goes to work for a provider that actually pays a wage thats livable.

So before you start saying "it's all orcon support staffs fault" take a moment and think about the powers that be, and why orcon support staff might not be so great.

an hour wait on the phone and no help what so ever from their staff has driven me to change ISPs.

Its a shame, had been with Orcon for nearly 5 years and they've gotten so bad its ridiculous.

Switched over to TelstraClear, so hoping things are better :)

so long Orcon

On hold at Orcon. No international bandwidth again tonight.

No twitter, no facebook is a farce. NZ Herald is snappy and Trademe is too. It's like someone flicks a switch.

5th night in a row now.
