keewee01: That's incredible! Well Done 2degrees - AGAIN!

Shame on you VF and Telecom!

Me thinks this might really stir up the landscape - even if it is limited to the first 10,000 who dash to it... can't see it still being available come Jan 31st!

Vodafone have had an "unlimited" plan since earlier in the year - TalkZone Zero. For roughly the same price ($~150) you get "unlimited" calling but don't get SMS and data like 2degrees are offering.

The only significant difference between the two is that 2degreses make their offer available to anybody, TalkZone Zero is only available to customers with a minimum of 5 mobiles. The lack of knowledge of Vodafone's deal in the marketplace is quite surprising given the amount of advertising they did.

Talkzone Zero from the Vodafone website is $136+GST or $156.40 and requires the following
"To qualify for talkZoneZero Plus, you should have at least 5 mobile connections in your business and all those mobiles need to be in a single calling account with Vodafone."

from the Vodafone website the closest plan under personal>mobile plans>on-account are the TXTer or Talker 1100 which give 1100 minutes and either 1 best mate along with free weekends (on-net) or 600 TXT and a best mate depending if you want to talk or txt. Both plans cost $378.15 per month!!!

Any posts are personal comments and not that of my employer

SteveON: http://www.vodafone.co.nz/business/plans/talkzone-plans.jsp

Looks like the talkzone is an additional $136 per connection... So each phone must have a plan, starting at around $20 and there must be a minimum of 5 in total.

No terms as you would assume that each plan would be a different deal. so really thats pretty expensive.

As said, it is $136 +gst per connection.
What also has not been added to the argument is the Voda plan includes a free local number that diverts to your cellphone.

We have been on TZZ+ for about a month and I use about 2500 mins a month.

Is the 250MB data available nationally, or just in the 2D broadband zones?

It's national.

I mentioned this was going to be quite a FAQ - 2degrees should really put that in or people might relate 3G as being their own 3G network (broadband zone)

See if Telecom used the term 'fair use' it would be virtually meaningless.......
If Vodafone used it...the definition would definately get called into question......but who knows?

If 2degrees says it, you'd really have to give them the benefit of the doubt and assume that it will be suitable for whatever your requirements may be (as a single mobile consumer anyway)

Well done 2d, I was -really- surprised to read this this morning.

=)

what do you mean by meaningless?
Meaningless as in people can just go nuts and use it as much as they like and will rarely get called up for excessive use?
Or meaningless as in the fair usage limit is incredibly low so as to make the 'unlimited' plan worthless?

amanzi:
Choice Mobile is one of the 2degrees Authorised Dealers offering the plan. We've already got heaps of happy customers on the Pay Monthly $149 plan - contact Choice Mobile on 0800 124 642 or sales@choicemobile.co.nz to sign up or get more info.

@amanzi

Two links on the front page of your Amanzi site appear to be broken and lead to basically a 404 (top 5 reasons and get on the web).

Thanks - the Amanzi site has been a bit unloved recently, but I've fixed the dead links. Thanks for the heads-up!
