lchiu7:
jonb: So you can downgrade your plan now to one that's below $39, and then change it back to the $39 plan before the 1st April to get the bonus 1GB?

That's what I have done. My bill cycle is 4 of the month. I have just downgraded my plan to $29 which should take place for the next billing cycle. Before March 4 I will upgrade the plan back to $39 and select a term at which time I hope I should get the 1G of data.  Having been very unclear about the new plans before I bought a 1G addon a few days ago so that should keep me going until March 4.

Now if SaltyNZ thinks this is not going to work tell me now!

The only way you can get the free additional 1GB with any of those plans $39 and above is if you port out/change to another provider and come back and complete the sign-up process all over again.

Also the free 1GB for 12months does not require any term as such. That means if you sign up for no term you'll still get it - hope that helps

I'm on this deal, having signed up for it last year. What happens at the end of 12 months, which for me will be September (I think).

Do 2degrees have plans to increase the size of their national data plans?

Hi,

Long time lurker - I'm a little confused now. Thinking about signing up for this plan to get the 1GB bonus data (switch from prepay) - will I get it if I sign up with no term, or do I need to enter into a 12 month contract?

Thanks

You don't need to sign up for a term. I signed up the other day on no term and I've got the deal.

Awesome, thanks for the replies. Have kicked off the switch, just waiting for the final confirmation text/email from them now. Hoping it doesn't take too long (and that nothing goes wrong resulting in me temporarily losing service!)

Sorted?

Or waiting for the verification code to be emailed to you?

Or for the e-mail to say your account has been activated?

Yup all sorted thanks. Looks liek the switch was pretty much instantaneous - just the email didn't come through till late on Saturday, and the text message didn't come at all.

Everythign else is working perfectly though :)
