kiwimalayalee:
and seems even after 6 months there wont be any downgrade fees aswell... ;)
benmurphy66: yep that is what I checked and had confirmed 3-4 times. the guy at the shop didn't really want to go into too much detail (store was really busy) but he said that is correct but we don't advertise it.
really enjoying my S3.

Im on the $89 and will 100% go back to the $39 after 6 months if its true of course.
Couldve sworn when doing my due diligence it seemed as though staying on the $89 plan was the least costly.
menabassily: I hate to say this (not really) but here goes
I TOLD YOU SO
Lol, enjoy, and for you who want to enjoy the free 1gb and free bus rides every weekend the offer ends on the 31
keewee01: The fine print on some of those offers does say you will loose the extras if you downgrade - bonus data and minutes will be goneburgers. Not sure if the same applies to the Touch2Pay offer.
ETA - the Touch2Pay offer bonuses runs out before 6 months anyway.

I am not sure about that, I think you get the Bonus 1GB /month for 2 years for ANY plan that is $39 or more.
You're right the Touch2Pay will expire on New Year's. So less than 6 months anyway :)

You might be right - I think I misread apart of the T&C on plan changes.![]()
I find it really, really interesting that no one from 2degrees have waded in on this discussion to confirm or deny points...
benmurphy66:
Either way I was a prepaid customer paying about $10 a month. Now I have a contract and paying $89 a month.

Who now has a $1049 handset for free and after spending $534 (6 months x 89) can drop their plan down to a $39 plan and pay a minimal plan change charge.
Seems bit of financial screw up by 2degrees unless they are getting the phones ultra cheap and happy to get the business and customers rather than than sole focus on profit.

I think they are just expanding their customer base as much as they can..
