ubernoob:SaltyNZ:ubernoob:NonprayingMantis:ubernoob:kobiak: Only when NZ cellphone operators will allow buying everything separately and let me use packs for as long as I have my bloody 50mins/1000txt/500mb
would it be nice? $10 per pack and just use it when you need it!
have to agree. I go to the supermarket and buy cereal I put it in the cupboard and use it till it's all gone, then buy some more. I don't get the supermarket coming and taking away my unfinished cereal at the end of each month, or have to buy another packet before I've finished the first one to stop them taking it away
....and yes I could have put this in any of the Telco forums.... this was the current one running
At least 2 Degrees are coming up with new plans and Aussie calling etc included
If network capacity worked the same way as cereal or any fmcg type goods this would be a great point. But it doesn't, so it isn't.
I know it doesn't so it isn't.... but I'm not sure why not. I've paid in advance for "Capacity" but they take it off me before I use it ??
Because you can store breakfast cereal. You cannot store traffic capacity.
just playing "Devils Advocate" now, as it is what it is... but perhaps they shouldn't sell what they haven't got. Would you say it was more like airlines over booking seats on a flight instead of cereal, I know it p*&^s me off if I get to the airport and they say "sorry no seats left" even though I know I booked and paid for one
Not really.
And really, without trying to sound too condescending, asking those kind of questions tells me that you know virtually nothing about networking and capacity, which means trying to explain it to you would be an extremely difficult and lengthy process, which I am not willing to go into.
Suffice to say that if this happened, broadband would not be available for circa $70. For any kind of decent speed and guaranteed bandwidth you would be looking at thousands of dollars.
