YAY!

I can finally stream South Park online without jumping through hoops! Now all I need to do is ditch this crappy connection.  If only this feature was around when I was close to a cabinet :(

Yeah, it's pretty awesome streaming episodes in HD without a VPN.

Last night I was able to make a Netflix account, make a us iTunes account to download the Netflix app to my iPad and watch a movie all from my nonjailbroken iPad.

I will see if I can get my apple tv 2 working tonight.

Is there any downside to enabling this mode?

Complain to slingshot? :P

Do you have an AirNZ airpoints card? If you use the USD 'wallet' on them, then they seem to present as a US credit card (works for Hulu)

I use an ANZ Platinum Visa card for both Netflix and Hulu with no problem.

Not sure why ANZ is any different from BNZ. I do provide a US address though.

Staying in Wellington. Check out my AirBnB in the Wellington CBD.  https://www.airbnb.co.nz/h/wellycbd  PM me and mention GZ to get a 15% discount and no AirBnB charges.

I meant a OneSmart card, they are prepaid and come with AirNZ airpoints membership. There is a $50 fee to join, free after that. You might be able to join for free with the code "JOINAP".

Long discussion somewhere in New Zealand about a website where you can buy prepaid Visa cards that work well with Hulu and Netflix. It's completely off topic.

Anyone know how to use this to get the US apps onto a NZ purchased samsung TV instead of the useless ones we get on them?

See here, the article starts by showing how to set a custom DNS (already done for you by Slingshot) and moves onto a key combination to change countries. Allow up to half an hour for it to update after changing.

Warning, you will loose access to the TVNZ onDemand app (haha)
