Are you using the “021” way of starting the number or a “+6421” ?

My iPad 3 with cellular activated with a number that should be expired by now just unsung the 021xxx number it last had working about 3-4 years ago (no credit added for at least 3 years) and that was awesome as AFTER you login with a number the app allows you to order a free 2D sim also so I will not only Hoover up free data but also reactivate my sim feature of the iPad so my kid can start Ingressing again without leaching all my own data 🤫

When you say “last time round” are you trying to register the same number again?

(To confirm, 021xxx worked for me, my wife, and our old iPad number)

After I down loaded the app (I deleted the app after the hunt finished last year) it asks for your phone number and after thinking about it for awhile it gives me  error message 01 mentioned above

Himm, this may be caused by a few reasons. Can you PM us some details including -

  • Your number and 4 digit PIN
  • Phone male/model
  • Operating system (make sure it's the latest version)
  • App version
  • What point of the process do you get this error message (screenshots will help).

Many thanks

My partner enjoyed doing this last time. I'm on Vodafone prepay but have downloaded the app and think I'll switch before my current month renews. Currently pay $25 a month and get 1.5gb so with 2 Degrees it looks like I can get 1gb for $19 on the equivalent prepay combo plus what I gather from the data hunt should more than cover the difference for a year.

Thanks  2Degreescare not having the phones time on auto update was the cause of the problem.

Just ported my main number to 2Degrees after about 20 years on VodafoneNZ (17 years working for them) and my data hunt counter restarted again

Linux ;)

Edit: Also got data clock 1 hour free for 30 days

I went ‘hunting’ today (Nissan Leaf+DataHunt+Ingress FTW) and got about 21 new pins... so far only 11 have had a txt msg to confirm their application to my balance ... and only these show in my current data ‘balance’ (*100*1#) .

The T&C say “up to” 5 days for them to be applied so I guess it’s just also a waiting game? 😝

Just had another 6 pins confirmed minutes apart now... so they do process through... maybe they have an anti-cheat validation or something?
