I was pretty clear in my edit message and there was no intention to hide anything but keep the discussion on point.

From my perspective, the "gaming" you are mentioning is not their fault but rather the fault of the Ookla and the way they do speed tests. I do agree that to an educated user that doesn't mean much.

My criticism is that you were calling giving people more bandwidth (and I'm not talking about the quality of service here) a bad thing. Which it is definitely not.

It's the same if <A cellular provider> bumped your mobile plan to the next tier. You can mention that their service is bad in rural areas, you could say that they round up minutes to the nearest 10 unlike the competition, but you can't call giving a better plan a bad thing. It is in every way better for the consumer who got it compared to what they previously had.

The bottom line with this is that when people are shopping around, like myself, run into posts/claims like this one it makes me distrust you equally. Not only am I becoming aware that a provider may not be good, but I also become aware that people cannot be trusted when looks like they are looking for any excuse to criticize a provider they don't like. 

Your followup post was much much more useful to me than the one I originally replied to as it's stating other important factors that need to be considered.
