New message from 2Degree's:

"Hi Martin, I just tried to call you but went to voicemail. We currently have an issue with pre orders for the iPhone 14 series. Our technical team are currently working on this. Our apologies for any inconvenience caused. Thanks XXXXXXXX"

Doesn't really help.

Pre-orders will of course be prioritized and the those ordered first will be sent out first. Some customers have already begun to receive their orders, so hopefully yours will be with you soon. Sorry for the hassle and if you have any questions your best bet is to get in touch with the Customer Care team by DMing us on Twitter or Facebook, or by calling 0800 022 022.

Cheers,

Sarah

@SarahRykers

I really hope the pre-orders are still prioritised, above in this thread and on Facebook customers are commenting they've been informed they have to wait up to 8 weeks as they're now at the back of the queue despite ordering first thing on the 10th of September.

Why are customers being told different stories?

What is currently being done to fix this?

Thanks

Heya,

I've checked in with the team again and they have confirmed the process is: first ordered, first out the door. The reason other customers may have received their devices earlier and some customers are still waiting could be due to a multitude of reasons, such as their delivery location or perhaps they ordered the most popular colour/model and ready-to-go stock had already been depleted at the time of their order.

If you're worried about your order at all I'm happy to help track it down for you. Send me a DM with your 2degrees acc/number and your order number and I'll chase it up with the supply team.

Cheers,
Sarah

Appreciate the update Sarah. So I can assume that just because my order hasn't been sent yet, it doesn't mean that it won't be happening from the first batch and sent early next week?

Yup, it could already be on its way, unless it's one of the models and colours that sold quickest and went to back order stock at the time of your order. If you placed it early on Saturday this would be unlikely. If you'd like me to check exactly where your order is at fire me your 2degrees acc/number and order number and I'll see what I can do to get you more information.

As long as it arrives with enough time for me to send my trade-in phone in, it would be great.

I mean almost everyone ordering is locking themselves to 2deg for at least 12 months to use this promo, in their best interest to get it in our hands.

I also have asked the team for confirmation on this and we will honour the Trade In deal offered to you at the time you placed the order 😊

Maybe here: iPhone 14 Range Promotion Terms and Conditions | 2degrees

Clause number 8.

Wow, I had not seen that. Checking the hero image and then clicking to T&C's has this nice little hook in it: "Promotion, Plan, Interest Free and Trade In T&Cs apply". So the T&C's attached to the promo refer to 4 more sets of T&C's (one of which is an appendix to the overall promotional terms) and this is mentioned right at the end. Pretty misleading and may catch some people out. They should really say upfront requires a 12 month commitment, especially given their mission statement is "fighting for fair" and this is hidden behind walls of terms.

I mean an iota of sense can be applied - if you’re receiving $600 off your bill / phone RRP, the provider must stand to gain something from it.

Can we also hope that Ingram Micro / 2 degrees tradein don't change the promotion eligibility or lowball the phone prices as they see more than high demand of your attractive offer?

Thanks

Had a frustrating issue trying to order through the website, payment on Amex wasn't working so I went down to a store, only to go through the whole process again then find their EFTPOS terminals didn't take Amex either.

@jnimmo Did you ask if they accepted Amex first? If they don't take Amex online I can't see them taking it instore

Not always the case.

Noel Leeming don't take Amex via online store but in-store they do, just went through this last week.

They do take it online, but it just was just failing for some reason. Thought it would be easier to go in store rather than call up. Hadn't considered I could go to one of the other retailers also offering this promo though who definitely had Amex. Anyway, it was just to get the screen replacement insurance which only require you to pay the monthly plan with the card don't have to pay for the whole phone on it.

Anyone have their phone turn up yet? I had messaged 2degrees to cancel my order but despite that got a card-to-call today for what I can only imagine was the phone arriving (not expecting anything else). Surprised as I only ordered over the weekend and presumably jumped the queue of everyone else that got screwed over here. I didn’t get any shipping notice or invoice from 2d either.

Which model/colour did you order?

If you’re new - it’s the Pay Monthly Sim.

Just had a call from 2Degree's.

My order which was placed 14 minutes after the pre-order went live could now take up to 6 weeks to arrive. The narrative that all orders are being dealt with on a 'first in-first served' basis must be a fairy tale unless 2Degree's ordered no stock at all of the model I wanted. I could just order from another telco now and get the same shipping timeframe so I am assuming 2Degree's are only processing my order now.

Monumental failure from 2Degree's, not only the order itself but the follow up as well. Getting different versions from different CSR's is never a good look. It would be much better if they just came out and said 'yeah sorry your order was missed, all the phones we had have now been sent to other customers', instead of the narrative they are still giving out.

I would like to thank @SarahRykers who has done her best to help affected GZ members even though it isn't her normal course of business at 2Degree's.
