By now I would have hoped they would allow you to FAX through your port request (they need a way of you accepting the T&C for porting, don't have the call centre set up for that).

So now it's past COB 10th Aug and still no way to transfer a number.
Website down - for a whole week now.
Nobody answers the 0800 phone.

What a crock....
Why isn't the media all over this? They can't all own Telecom shares.

surely not being able to port numbers over is in breach of the commerce commission's number porting thing? (excuse the not knowing the technical name of the act).

i went out on day one and brought credit and a sim card expecting to be able to port my 021 number over to 2degrees, six days on, still can't be done.

surely the media should be all over this as stated before? i truly don't believe that the ONLY way to port a number is through their website, they must have some backend way that CSR's could do this with faxed/emailed acceptance of terms&conditions.

not a good look for the first week 2degrees.

There will be exceptions for if your systems fail. You;ve got a system, it is faulty, you are repairing it.

Agree there should be a backup, but the Com Com does not require that so there is no need to have one other than commercial reasons. And exactly the type of reason why 2D started with pre-pay only - first work out the kinks with customers that you are not bound by contract.

Have my simcard sitting here waiting to go but yeah not going to use it till I can port my number...
Have to say this has almost killed all of my excitement and enthusiasm for it and I imagine Im not alone?

If this goes on much longer they might need to have a re-launch party...

The reality is that it could take us a few more days. We just really want to be sure that the site won’t break again. I emailed asking about doing a port by fax and they replied that they are working on a process so it may be a go to get my 021 telecom ported to 2degrees... Will do the other one and the vodafone 021 once they have data available...

Am fowarding my home to my 022 number with them now, so at least thats a few bucks of interconnect they get rather then going to vodafone...
