It's now back fully, except they've disabled "Change my number".

Which is funny, since that's all people wanted to do in the first place.

How can you change your number? I get that stupid message every time i try to do it, kind of accepting 2degrees's site as a giant bug now, cant do anything right.

I can't understand the mindset of these people (on other sites) who say "it'll be worth the wait just give them time to sort it out". Um, no, they've had 2 years planning this and they fumble it this badly when they step up to the plate, it brings their entire business planning into question and makes people question the reliability of their service.

Yes theres bandwidth/server load issues on start up, but there are ways to mitigate them and they've had 2 years to think about implementing them.

Cheaper mobile services? It's sounding more and more 'too good to be true'.

I guess it's a "you get what you pay for" type of scenario...

It is just a SIM and just a phone number. Obviously if the motorway is blocked then go have a coffee or a beer or whatever and take the motorway when the congestion has cleared. Same with 2D. The site works, there are just too many people trying to access it.

The motorway was closed for a week and now it's full of potholes.

Signed up OK. Went to change number but got "No information" Guess they haven't opened up the 022 2XXXXXX range yet..

Their website doesn't like Opera 10 much.

Site is running very slow (and when I saw a java stack dump showing that they are using liferay, it certainly explained a lot!).

But I did manage to score a personalized number (very happy again!).
