I used my utorrent the other day, first time in a while, and I had no hassles. Worked well. The actual speed of my line seems to have dropped in the last month or so but I'm guessing that's another issue.

I'm having mixed results. Magnet traffic seems to work better than traffic initiated with a torrent file. Entirely DHT traffic seems better as you don't need a tracker at all. If one other peer has the DHT, then you will, too.....every peer becomes a tracker.

At this point the problem becomes whether or not a peer will accept an unencrypted connection....and large proportion will not.

So you have to balance up whether you'll go faster un-encrypted with Orcon's cache......or encrypted (and shaped) with a larger number of potential peers.

Given the shaping is at peak, provided you're happy to wait until tomorrow for whatever it is you're after, then encrypted is fine as a default.

Last night traffic was fine. Tonight it's crap. I've downloaded just over 100MB of a file and uploaded well over 800MB......great for my ratio.....but the shaping is clear.

The PeerApp caches we have installed, will only work with unencrypted bittorrent.

Encrypted will be traffic managed as usual.
