Two things are holding me back. Cost of international roaming/availability and being unable to use 2degrees data living out of zone

that would be an ecumenical matter

cisconz: Also I find it interesting that very few people saw the txtmerace for what it was.

I must admit that I lost some respect for 2degrees over that stunt. It came across as unprofessional.

Where would you like to roam to that we do not currently cover?

China, I admit now on checking that the roaming list is much better than when I last looked but its still more expensive compared to Vodafone traveller

that would be an ecumenical matter

nigelj: Also, a trip up to Whangarei was an absolute nightmare using 2degrees (data), where Telecom on CDMA was great.

Enjoy it while you can :)

To make it clear, the above comment was on the basis that XT coverage is meant to (and seems to be) quite comparable to CDMA coverage, the trip was made prior to upgrading, and I should be making another trip on XT soon to prove me right or wrong.

Actually you can use 2degree national data all over the country.

Got a 2degrees sim in my dual sim phone. Cheap international calling and text messaging is good however the quality of voice calling is just terrible compare to xt. Random numbers showing up at recipient's end can be quite troublesome.

A fear of the number 2.

Audiophiles are such twits! They buy such pointless stuff: Gold plated cables, $2000 power cords. Idiots.

Ah, yes. I know exactly what you mean. For me it's more a fear of people who name a colour 'puce' rather than 'purple'.

I've been on 2degrees for awhile and it's been a happy relationship though with some exceptions.

100mb Dataplan is too small
your 2degress sucks with iPad *

Apart from the above i have loved the experience and service.

* Clarification - iPad cannot receive SMS so retrieving passwords after Consume locks it (typo in password and the constant sync locked it)

I went to the 2D store this evening and bought a sim card. I came home and transfered my number online about an hour ago. I just received a text saying it was all sorted. That's pretty quick, thanks very much.
