Thanks Snap!

$87/month for 155GB naked, with unmetered Youtube/Google. Awesome!

Looks like I need to make the change to Naked Broadband in order to take advantage of the new plans, since I am not currently on one of the @home plans but an older.

$80 for 70GB w/Unimited YouTube OR $90 for 155GB w/unlimited YouTube.

Hrm, what to decide ..

The ONLY negative I could pass onto snap for the new plans is reducing the base cost the @home plans, but I can't have everything

Cudos to snap for the new plans!

They will be getting a phone call soon from me to change over.

I have VDSL2 now with another ISP, and like the look of these data add-ons a lot. The call centre indicated I couldn't have a VDSL2 connection with Snap, unless we go for a naked install. We have a monitored alarm, and despite trying some IP solutions, I really haven't found anything as reliable.

I note on the website that it says most of the Snap connections are naked. So is there any way at all to be with Snap for VDSL2, and have a phone line?

Please tell me the @work plans are going to be changed as well?

It's the same service, we've put up with the same Youtube issues and the same midday outages yet if we want 550GB we're looking at $1000+GST vs $70 on the home plan...

I see the main website has been updated with the new pricing now. One thing which hasn't been updated however is the 'top up' data packs, they still seem to be showing the old pricing... Any news there Snap?

Nothing serious, a few half hour outages in the last 6 months... just saying the @work service seems no more premium or high priority than @home.

I'm also interested in finding out whether there will be a change in the top up packs. As I'm coming close to the end of my data limit for this billing cycle I tried to sneakily 'downgrade' to a cheaper data add-on which now has more data than my current one but it wouldn't allow it as I "don't have enough unused data".

I think they're onto me ;)

kyhwana2: Any cheaper datapacks for students at chch uni? (They have an ethernet jack, no DSL)

You can now signup to a Naked Broadband Plan, and use this at the Uni instead of the prepay system! This means you can get the new data packs & unlimited Google & YouTube addon. Give Snap a call!

Er, there's no phone line into the rooms, just an ethernet jack, so you can't get DSL?

@kyhwana2

The Prepay connections are PPPoE, however you are able to authenticate over a PPPoE connection using a standard Snap account. Eg, you sign up to Naked DSL but of course a DSL line is not actually Provisioned, once setup you will then be able to login using the credentials of this new account and enjoy the extra data / AYCE / Unlimited nights benefits and pay a monthly plan charge.
