quentinreade: ^^ we will do unlimited on VDSL, yes.
We are testing CPE at the moment, and will be in market sometime in November.
Cheers all,

This is sounding good. You're beating the offer I got from Telecom :)

You can also follow me on twitter here @kiwifortw I do twitch streams every now and then at twitch.tv/kiwiforthewin :)

quentinreade: Thanks for your feedback guys.
We do listen - and will re-look at this.
In the meantime, I have a special Geekzone offer.
If you switch plans (between now and the end of business next Friday), just mention Geekzone, and we'll throw in National Calling and the smartphone features for free.
Hope that helps :)

Is this still available? I read it as being valid until close of business today. But I just rang to change from the old Orcon gold plan and was told they can no longer offer the National calling and smartphone features for that price. We have changed anyway as it is still  cheaper and better than what we had previously.

Hi Varkk,
Can you please PM me your username? I'll race over to the sales team and see what the story is.
Cheers

Thanks, shortly after shooting you the PM I had a call back from someone. Sorted it all out. Unfortunately since our cabinet is only ADSL1 (Thanks Chorus) we can't get Genius, but got our plan changed to something a bit closer to what was on offer.

Good to hear (except the part about ADSL1) ...but yes, we can do unlimited on all ADSL plans now which should help :)

Tried to take up this offer earlier. Apparently it doesn't apply to the 80gb plan. Applies to unlimited and 30gb only. I was told this is due to technology limitations lol.

I must congratulate Orcon on their customer service, I expected a call back on Friday evening but due to some issues at their end it never arrived so I was completely surprised to get a call on Sunday and we sorted the deal I was after.

Congrats Orcon totally made my weekend.
