Umm ..... I think I'm the wrong/old plan then Mr Duncan.

Because when I go over my 15GB Cap I get an email with this in it :

"You are getting close to or may have gone over the next data bracket. Remember that after your free quota of data, additional data chunks are charged at $10 per 5GB (or part thereof)."

First email I got like that was 08/11/2008 (at least that's how far back I've been getting them in my Mail database...)

Yes, there are still some customers (like you) that have elected not to move to the new plans that we offer. You will still be on the $10 for 5GB data blocks. I would encourage you to check out the current plans as in many situations they offer better value.

Entirely up to you though.

"From the 23rd of May we are standardising the price of data across both the Orcon and Orcon+ networks. This will mean some changes for exsiting customers. Those customers that are affected have been emailed to their preferred email address.

For customers on the Orcon+ network the price of casual overage will increase to $2 per GB.

This new pricing represents a price increase for some users, and a decrease for others."

I guess I'm right in assuming the decrease is for Orcon customers and the increase is for Orcon+ customers? I don't see anywhere that the new pricing is better for any Orcon+ customers. When we signed up, the implication was that Orcon+ was special and cheaper because you/we didn't have to deal with wholesale ADSL. I guess that was a mistake?

I suppose Vodafone charged Red network the same as the wholesale customers since they launched their LLU network, and it's still cheaper than your current offerings.

Am I unhappy enough to move? Probably not, even though I'm not tied to a contract with you (I wouldn't be after 12 months anyway, right?, but nice spin) I'm not really interested in being contracted for another 12 months starting now. Still, it is going to cost me over $10 more per month = $120 over the year, maybe it is worth considering...

When i signed up with orcon on about the 4th may, yes 1 day before they announced the change in the plans, i am sure that under the plan i chose (purple with calling with a 25gb pack) it said that if i used over that data that i would be shaped back to 128kbps.

this was 1/2 of the reason i changed to orcon from telecom, the other 1/2 was i was moving flat and dident want to have to pay another $199 to break my contract.

i have received no such email saying about the change in pricing.
