Awesome. Their pricing suits my usage patterns really well. Just have to start convincing others to shift networks for the on-net calling rate; shouldn't be too hard. Cheers 2degrees, I can't wait for my chinwag sim to arrive. Up yours Vodafone, I can finally shaft you for a change!

regarding data..... 50cents per meg? thats how vodafone does it too, KINDA.. except they give you the first 10mb for $1. so if I'm going to use only 10mb a day, I'm going to pay $5 on 2d?!  I love the new rates, because I only send a few txt's a day. But I'm internet man while I'm on the go. 2d have to match this.

I'm still excited.. and I believe they will improve the data rates very fast.

Now to tell all my friends today. 9 cents txt and 22 cents landline calling were the main points for me.. amazing!

If you're going to use 10MB/day, you're not 2degrees' primary customer.

I might use 2-4mb, every 3-4 days.. but I like the casual $1 cap for that day for under 10mb, charged only on the days I use it. It means I can browse google maps and msn people without having to keep an eye on my traffic. But point taken, thank you!

No data no dice for my main phone - but it will sure get all my business for occasional use numbers - at $2 it doesnt matter if they expire.

Love the new rates, well done.

At this stage its going to be difficult to leave my VF $6 best mates.

$6 would buy me 27 minutes at 22 cents on 2Degrees, and I know my best mates usage is about 240 minutes per month.

May still need 2 phones, 1 for my best mates and 2Degrees for all other calling and txts.

No Bestmates or family is a big concern.

A lot of my calls are to the same people so in that case, Vodafone is still better value.

Yea im doing the same, 1 phone (telecom) for texting telecom phones and 1 phone (2degrees) for calling and txting other networks and worldwide calling/txts

A few notes on using the Mobile internet.

With 2degrees you only pay for the data that you use. For many customers this will mean that using the mobile internet and browsing a few 'made for mobile' pages will cost less than 50c a day. Data is charged in 5KB increments. There is a minimum charge of 1 cent per data session.

I'll wait till end of September to figure out if I'll be swapping or not. Already got my SIM, though, to reserve my number.

Why end of September?  Are you on-contract?

To all the txt-naysayers, at 22c/min (top-up) re-introduce your best-mates to the sound of your voice ...

Yes, but I'll be breaking out of it by the end of September (still 20-odd months to go on the data plan -- voice plan is tied to previous employer, so they'll sort out the voice plan break fees).

Girlfriend's contract is also coming up for renewal by the end of Sept.
