I'd like to hear if people are still experiencing high latency to internode. our transit provider has advised that it is resolved:

its not just internode server pings that have ballooned out of control...my ping to this server used to be 300-350 before ADSL2
(not to mention the speeds are crap to )

if you dont get this sorted orcon YOU WILL LOSE CUSTOMERS.this has been going on to long

(what about crediting us,i mean we are still paying full price for a service we are not getting)

My ping's not as bad as people here (Gold plan, Dunedin). The speed's still not what it should be though.

pings to au and general international performance has not changed, similar to those posted here.
Pre ADSL2 my pings to internode servers were in the 40-50ms range.
any updates on when this will be resolved would be appreciated.

as far as i know orcon dont, I have not even looked. Did I ask you if they did ?
If I am unsatisfied with the service Im getting Ill switch ISP.
However, I would rather be part of a solution for the current circumstances than just sit around complaining and pointing out that other people have too high an expectation of things

There is no fault with the ping times packets are getting there and back!

If you were paying for QOS thats the time when to complain

I left Orcon so i could get more reliable speeds, and now im with Slingshot and they have the same issues (well very similar)

When Orcon had there speed issue pretty much fixed so did slingshot (and probaly xnet) and now we all have the same/similer issues back, there just is nothing they can do really.

The government (or Telecom!) has to stop wasting time! and spend some real money on a desent internet framework, and we NEED more then "1" pipe going in/out on NZ as we are going to always going to have International speed issues as long as we have that one crappy line going out of NZ :(
We can all keep switching ISP's and moving the problem to the next guy but honestly it wont get fixed until they get a better/more lines out/in of NZ.
And ISP's upgrading to ADSL 2+ wont make this issue go away it will just make it worse and worse! :(
Because if it was a in NZ issue then why do we get perfectly fine and blazingly fast speeds to other NZ servers.... ???? (but really slow International speeds......)

also look up specs of southern cross cable network particularly how much is in use
On orcon llu and having brilliant speeds all the time!

Ah ok.
Well something is slowing us all down, maybe there slowing all us ADSL 1 people so that the ADSL 2+ people can get there promised speed...
Just a thought.
As this isn't the first time i'v herd that us ADSL 1 people where all going slow but a friend of mine who was on ADSL 2+ never noticed a thing, he was still going blazingly fast

I'm with Vodafone now (ex Orcon, but posted many times here) and have no international speed latency issues what so-ever.

Big improvement. Also on Xtra I always had perfect International speeds.

From my experiences, I doubt it is becuase of having only one cable.
