Huh. Ever since I enabled it, ive been maxing my line on the CallPlus cache alone. Before, I would get better speeds from the states. Not sure if related at all though.

For those who have a fairly modern Samsung TV, and a degree of bravery, you can hack your TV and change the country setting so that you can get the Netflix / Hulu / HBO apps working on it.

Don't need to be brave, it's just a setting which you can set back if you wish. Works great btw, but you will loose the TVNZ on demand App.

Just press, FWD, 2, 8, 9 RWD from within the SmartTV interface and set region to US, update DNS settings and you're away.

Or for that matter hola.org. Either as a Windows client or Chrome/Firefox extension.

dont you find the ads annoying though? I'm much happier paying 8 bucks for netflix and getting no ads.

Plus Hulu free isn't available on any device other than browser.

Not working for me.  BBC iPlayer not working either (on the whole, seems to work very occasionally). Wonder if it's a UK thing?  Will try 4od and others when I get home.

iPlayer was working fine for us yesterday, but 4oD and ITV give "service not available in you area" and "this video is not available to play in your region" errors respectively. Frown

I have been running the global mode for a few weeks now. Prior to this i had a subscription VPN service that worked well with Netflix. Although the global mode works fine for me it is eating up a lot more GB than i experienced with the VPN connection.

Has anyone else experienced this? Before we never touched the 50gb we have a month, now 1/3 of the way through the month and its pushing 30gb
