voy1d:UncleArthur: vdsl is limited only by your line speed (download), and 10mb/s (upload - limited by Chorus) - your VDSL won't be artificially slowed down.
That may be the case, but when they put "Up to 30 mb/s" on the plan those without the technical knowledge may think it is a technically inferior product.
Inferior to what, UFB? TBH... it is.
(I guess you probably mean to other ISPs VDSL offerings... Can't say I see too much issue there either. At least it means they will hit their stated line speed in the majority of cases, while if they say 70Mbps a lot of people won't get anywhere near.)
