They would have to tell retailers who are selling there products when they are launching so then the retailers know when to put the stock out so I would say Daniel is right.

if Two Degrees is listening, give the geeks some SIM loving, post a pic of your SIM artwork here, at least it will distract us from not having a launch date!

And like that... Here it is for our geek enjoyment:

Thanks 2Degress for sending these images through...

WOW!  Those sim cards look pretty cool, I love how they're integregated into the actual sim holder... Can't wait to get mine, I signed up the first time I saw the ad on the sunday night it came out, so hopefully I'll get one with a number that isn't gigantic like my gigantic 12 digit Vodafone no. (included the 64). CSR on their 0800 no. said that we can do three things when we get the card:
1) Top up and continue using 2D.
2) Make your old carrier's number your 2D number
3) OR, keep the allocated number - basically the same as option 1.

And I predict that the 2D launch will occur 2 weeks after the TVC was released on either Aug. 3 or 4. (3rd is a SUN)

You are obviously too young to remember when phones actually took the entire SIM card including the "integrated sim holder" :p

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Free setup code: R587125ERQ6VE. Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

Well....
I'm told my aunty had one of those huge phones like a car battery that you strap over your shoulder, but the funny part is that she dropped it of the side of her boat, they were so expensive that she swam down, tried to grab it. But she failed. =P.

"Online Store: Out of stock, due 27-Jul-2009, we will backorder for you and despatch asap."

Could this be an indication of release timing maybe?
