From the time the online form was submitted till the txt came through say port complete was about 10 mins, was surprised how quick it was.

Is that right I am still waiting for my text and I see that the move your number for $5 button is still on my your 2 degrees. Makes me wonder if my one didnt go through with all the confusion on the site last night. Might try it again now while things are quiet on there.

Got all of my 5 SIMs allocated great numbers last night.
Strangely enough none of our families chinwag SIMs have ever turned up?!?

Wish that I had discovered http://www.phonespell.org/ earlier - would have saved me a lot of time!

Obviously now the form I submitted last night didnt go through with all the up and downs the website was going through as I have just resubmitted the form again and this time it has worked as I cant login under my 022 number anymore but can with my Vodafone number and when I did login my account has been credited the $5 as well. Strange though that I havent received a text yet to say that its done

icesk8erboi: It'd be win if someone DoSes them LOL.

No, it would be naughty. A DoS attack is not nice on anyone.

Naughty, yes. Encouraging groups of people to do it (thus making a DDoS) is illegal.

Lucky you guys. Didnt even get a chance to get my number that i wanted.. and i've tried at least four different numbers. none of them gave me any results. Except for one which was less than desirable.

Did you get a refernce number last night?  I submitted a number port form last night and got a refrence number but nothing happened.  Re submitted another form a few hours ago but still nothing.  I get an error if I try to resubmit now.

I tried a second time again this morning but no luck as yet.

I'm beginning to wonder if there is some data matching going on between the information in your profile on each provider. If it all matches then "Jeff" lets the port proceed, if there are any discrepancies (Name, address, DOB) then some human intervention is required and that will only happen on Monday.

Hi there,

A small number of ports are failing due to incorrect data and there are others that are sitting in a queue due to limitations in the system owned by the Telecommunications Carriers Forum that manages the porting process for NZ.
We are working through all of the port requests, but ask that you don't try and port the same number twice.
Once the port has been confirmed you will get a message from us confirming it has been successful.

Cheers!
2degrees
