Are you still getting that?
Have you confirmed that the same user details are used to access myorcon?

Sorry have to ask.

Paul

Still getting the same thing, made sure I can still log in to myorcon fine.

Ah you are on a commercial account, since you purchase Genius via your employer.

I will see if there is anything we can do to resolve that.

Ah keep forgetting about that, I signed up privately and just let my employer know. It seems to hover somewhere in between business and home worlds when it comes to billing and support ;)

Just a cheeky "while you're at it", I asked about a year ago about myorcon flitting between the home and commercial layout, it still does that. Can it settle on the home layout for my home plan?

Well a couple of things

1. Change the amount of permissions the app asks for on Android. it really is ridiculous.

2. Enable support for all Orcon customers. I'm not on a Genius plan but I do have an Orcon phone line and broadband.

I'm not about to take Genius as the modem/firewall aren't good enough and I want a voice line that supports alarms and power outages.

1. What permissions do you feel are not required? Happy to review this.

2. Are you an LLU customer? We currently dont support the resold Telecom POTs connection with this service.

Re needing a coice line I am a Genius user and I had that problem for my alarm monitoring but the alarm company changed it to a celluar monitoring which in many ways is better than copper wire connection.
As for power outage I can live with my cell phone for the times when power is out
just my 2 cents worth

I had a call earlier where I got the alert on my iphone OK, but when I swiped to unlock there's no incoming call.  The app is sitting there in my hand doing nothing yet the home phone is still ringing

bazzer: I haven't had a good play with it yet, but if my phone is locked I don't seem to get the calls coming through. As soon as I unlock it, I might get a mssed call notification or the incoming call comes up.

I'm on an S3, running 4.1.2. I'll do a bit more experimenting tonight and update the thread.

Please make sure you have notifications turned on, that triggers the phone to wake up.

Paul

Same issue here with S3. Notifications are on, wifi set To always keep on during sleep. Will get a missed call notification but no call alert even when I unlock the phone and start the app when the home phone is ringing.

I have seen this a couple of times, not enough to know exactly what is going on or be able to repeat it. I'll make sure its on the list of bugs though.

Thanks for the report.

I am getting similar results with Samsung S3. Sometimes the calls come through other times I get a missed call beep and when I look at phone I see this in the log
Call from my home phone 022 072 7615
or call from my Home phone 022 087 0674
Both these numbers give message We do not recognise that number please check and try again,

Where the heck is this call coming from. I have an orcon broadband and Telecom mobile

Both of these numbers appear to be 2degrees numbers and if I try to ring them a voice says

Anyone any ideas?
