Linux:

@CruciasNZ Will ESIM on 2d and Vfnz is live before the March 2022 I will give you $20 cash

I am sure I have more chance of winning lotto Saturday night

Hah, I'd take that bet if I wasn't too stingy to pony up $20 when I inevitably lose. One of those providers may make it before March, but I doubt both will. The real question is who will be the shameful last?

If I had to choose between 2degrees or Vodafone on when ESIM will be release first between these 2 carriers, I think Vodafone ESIM will come out first before 2degrees.

Reason why is that 2degrees have been really silent about ESIM release date and they haven’t turned on 5G yet whereas Vodafone have been taking about ESIM but it kept on getting delayed due to Covid but they also have 5G available so they should be more ahead compared to 2degrees.

Aye, I've tried to be optimistic but it certainly looks like it hasn't been prioritized for development. Should have been out not long after Spark fired the opening shot, but here we are over two years later.

Just a thought, Morgan was looking into the eSIM status for us but she's now departed. Reckoned I should bump this and ask Sarah if she can take over looking into it for us :)

@CruciasNZ With the delay of the 5G launch I can honestly say that eSIM will be delayed as well until sometime 2022

2d and VodafoneNZ were working on this together when I left Vodafone April 2017 (Not sure if they are both working on this together now but quite sure they will be)

I'm going to lock this until there is official news - no point nagging, the news will come from 2degrees when it is public for everyone.

2degrees / Vocus Staff: Feel free to request an unlock of this thread when there is further news.
