I have no idea how we we go from up to 6 weeks a few days ago, 1-2 weeks yesterday and now it turns up out of the blue, I didn't get a shipping notification either. So, for those of you in the same boat as me with the ordering issue there is hope on the horizon! My order was pro max, purple, 256gb. Luckily I had mine delivered to my work address so if you are waiting and had your home address as delivery point it might pay to check for a card to call if your'e not home.

Well I just got another email telling me the phone will be 1-2 weeks despite it arriving 3 hours ago. Could be something to do with the SIM issues, maybe they are having to provision it or something? SIM still isn't working though.

yea i got the simcard and turns out they dont turn it on till i get the iPhone. Wasted my lunch finding this out. In the parcel for the Simcard there was nothing about when to use it, thought i meant to use it now, and transfer my number over from spark.

That's my choice too. Given I didn't order until first thing on the 10th, I am definitely not expecting a surprise parcel any time soon!

PSA: The in-store trade in process is very different to online - you must bring your device in before you can take the new device, rather than being able to send it in and receive a credit. Which makes it much more challenging if doing a multi phone swap situation! Also, RIP your MFA authentication codes.Make sure your MFA authentication codes are transferred to the new phone before they erase the old one..

It will be price off what you need to pay. I ordered mine in store, but I'm not entirely sure how it works as I was also told that Ingram Micro decides how much the value of the traded in phone will be. So they may or may not honour the value quoted in store. I've also locked myself into a 12 month plan doing this so hoping they honour it.

If they don't honour it, is it possible to get a refund?

To me it wouldnt make sense to purchase without the trade in boost

Really don't know why NZ providers disable - or don't support - the various ways that my iPhone allows me to transfer an esim?

 

It didn't transfer in the initial copy from the old phone, it wouldn't let me reuse the original QR code I got when I registered the esim (only one use?!) and it didn't let me use the "in phone" options to "transfer esim" from my existing device after the initial setup.

 

Yeah, very much a first world problem, but annoying having to go back into a store to get a "new" esim issued. 

 

 

 

Other than, I am loving my new phone!
