Looks good but my main feeling is all customers who rely on vodafone roaming have been forgotten about here

500mb on 2degrees will cost around $60, yet same amount on VF/XT will be half that

The reasons for this are 110% understandable though.

I've given up complaining about being charged $10 more for my home phone line because I don't live in the right place (the reason for THAT differential is definintely not understandable though).

It's would be nicer if they allow the 512MB pack for the period use of 60days as well instead of 30days.

Im Impressed!

im gonna buy the 512mb data pack ASAP!

While its disappointing its only valid in 2degrees coverage areas.... remember 2degrees have to deal with vodafone which we all know doesn't give a good deal to anyone ;)

I would still like to see a National data back for $12 with 150mb. This would fill the cap in their range.

Question:
If I travel outside the cheap zones accidentally how am I charged? Am I put on the 50c per MB or the $6 50MB plan?

2nd question, if I buy a $6 pack, what happens if I exceed this? Am I paying 50c per MB?

Cheers ..

You're charged at 50c per MB if you roam outside 2d's towers.

You need to buy the $6/50MB pack manually if you want that for when you roam.
If you buy the 60MB and use it all up, then when you roam you're still charged 50c/MB

You can choose to block data usage outside the zone. If you unblock, you can buy the $6 plan or go at 50c/MB

Actually, we block you automatically the first time you buy a broadband bundle. (Only for cash - the 50MB bundle is always used if you have one).

Just one more question.

If my account has $5 after I buy a BB pack. After I used the pack up and the $5, internet stops right? I won't have the debt collectors chase after me .....

One thing I also like about 2D is that international roaming is auto, with Voda I had to talk to them first and for a country that is not AU, I had to sign a contract and pay a enrolment fee then later they might send me the bill .... lol.

You cannot put a block on it like if 1GB is used up, no more internet.

I will just say it's great for those who don't have a landline or prefer not to have a landline. ADSL 3GB might cost $30-40, add a landline $45 that's more expensive than mobile data.

Should be a decent amount of those, ie, flatting, students, living in apartments alone or with a partner.

I had 3GB ADSL for the past few years, that's not too bad, provided you have all the windows updates and now just getting the odd one as they are provided, daily email and surf the web, not too much streaming .. no game demo downloads or linux downloads.

One other question before I buy one of these data sticks. When does the 30 days start. When I buy the unit or when it is first used..??

If my account has been used up (the money), internet stops right?  Big guys won't be knocking on my doors I take it.

It's not possible to put a block is it when I used up my BB pack?

Thanks.
