I just got my first bill since the upgrade and I am pleasantly surprised. The part month has been billed at $0 and the month in advance is $0 too !

Bet uber can't match that.

For me they did beat that as I now have internet :)

Looks like it's too early to assume I've got satisfactory phone & internet.

I've had two outages in the last two days. Each time I had to reboot the modem to get phone and internet working again.

I can understand some outages for maintenance, but would not expect to have to keep rebooting the modem. It's a phone - it should just work without constant fiddling. I wasn't having these problems on the old plan.

If this becomes a pattern I may still have to look for a new ISP.

Sorry to hear that. Makes me nervous, now! If I wasn't scared of hexing mine, I would say it is working fine!!!

Way back in the early days with the black genius I had phone outages till the firmware was updated but it was stable after this.

Hope you can get sorted but interested in knowing what is wrong.

Sheesh. You have really suffered.
For the record, my data and phone have been fine since the migration so it is not the 'system'.

But, I received my return courier bag for the 'old' modem. Then I received another return courier bag. It seems the business processes are broken all the way through Orcon.

I must call about my $0 bill before it snowballs.

I thought I'd post an update on the outages I was having a few weeks ago.

After raising with Orcon I had a call back from one of their support people who asked a few questions and said he would pass on to second level support. Presumably they did something since there have been no problems at all for three weeks now (touch wood).

Thanks to the people at Orcon for working through the various issues, and Happy Christmas.
