Bridging the router essentially turns it into a relay, all information is just passed through the bridged router and sent to the router it's connected to, DHCP, firewall, portforwarding are all the responsibility of the router it's connected to as well. If you turn the slingshot router into a bridge, you'll have to have everything connected to the non bridged router as the bridged router will no longer be able to give internet access.
