Others - sorry for any confusion or mixed messages - we'll reiterate all of this to the helpdesk to make sure they're crystal clear on the timeframes.

Ralph how come under the business plans if you sign up to UFB, still offering the 2 old model fritz as only hardware options and not the new 7490?

Hi Dan

For any @Work orders placed since last Friday, we will be dispatching 7490 in place of 7390. New @Work plans are coming very soon and the device change will go live then.

Sorry for any confusion.

Cheers
Ralph

Ok, so do they need to choose the 7340 at no cost or the 7390 at 50$ to get the 7490 ?

Hi dan

Choose the 7390 and we'll supply the 7490 in its place.

Just checked again with the eDev team and they're hard at work going through these changes now, so hopefully all will be sorted in the next few days.

Cheers
Ralph

I got the email from Snap about upgrading to unlimited data for $10.  I'm tempted, but have a few questions.  I've read through this thread, and some of the questions might have been answered already, but for clarity I'll collate my questions in one place:

1. To take advantage of the $10 upgrade for unlimited data, existing customers have to commit to a 24 month term. If I'm already in the middle of a 24 month term does it replace my existing term (i.e. 24 months from here) or does it append my current term (i.e. another 24 months when the current term finishes)?

2. If I sign for a new 24-month term, it looks like I can get the new Fritzbox 7490 at a discounted price - but it sounds like it costs $199 rather than the $50 I would pay if I were a "new" customer.  Is this correct?

3. I'm slightly nervous about being in an "unlimited" pool after hearing historical horror stories of people being slowed down because they're in a data "pool" with a bunch of heavy downloaders.  Does Snap put people on the unlimited data plan in a separate "pool" from the capped people, or are we all in the same pool?

i was a long time snap customer who was very iffy about entering the unlimited pool.

on my 60/10 VDSL, it was a seemless move.

i still very regularly filled my pipe over single threaded FTP downloads from NL, No noticeable congestion at all.

Unlimited plans these days arent like they used to be generally.

A few months ago at least there was no separate pool.
