This may be a dumb question, but searching doesn't seem to have delivered me an answer. In 2Degrees own coverage areas, is 3G deployed on 2100Mhz only?

Usually but they may have 3g 900mhz in the mix too. Depends on population density.

Mostly in the new towns but eventually it will be more widely deployed in Auckland, Wellington & Christchurch too.

You'll get 3G on 900MHz in our new build areas (other than Akl, Wgtn, Chch and QT) but as SaltyNZ says we'll be deploying it on new builds in these areas in the future.
