So the chorus sat tool now shows UFB being available for us. We're on VDSL2 with Snap at the moment and hoping to keep with Snap for UFB, but they seem to be dragging their heels on releasing any plans.

Can someone from Snap tell me when plans will be released? On the 7th of March I asked about UFB plans and was told "coming along well, we will have some very competitive offerings out within a fortnight!", that was over 2 months ago.

I don't think many ISPs can even provision UFB services yet.
I think WxC is one of the only ISPs that have been able to do so with some pilot programs.

What's the big hurry ?

Orcon has had their plans out for over 2 months, Worldnet have had plans for a while now as well.

Why wouldn't we want to hurry? We could connect to an internet connection that's twice as fast for the same price we're paying for VDSL2.

I'd take a completely uneducated stab in the dark and guess that Snap won't launch UFB pricing until they have their VoIP network up and running to offer voice services.

It's just the internet dude, UFB is great but it's nothing to get all pushy about getting imo.

Besides when things get rushed mistakes get made + Good things take time so just wait it out or maybe evaluate other options.

Thanks for your input. I run an web development business, faster internet for us means increased productivity. This is not a "OMG I need a faster connection! LOL!!!"
