Never had the best speeds.. but should I not be getting a far better speed than this ? :S

 

It has been slowing right down @ night to .. this speed test was taken @ 8:30 in the morning

 



 

Noise Margin = 12dB

Attenuation 10dB

Date Rate 9310Kbps

The download is not too far off your line rate but the upload seems really low.

Try a few different speed test servers to confirm it's across the board.

Also does appear they have peak time congestion issues according to last month's Truenet data

Hi Moxperal

Your upload is very low and upstream is unlikey to be caused by any congestion as generally upload directions are very congestion free (as everyone downloads).

Your download speed looks pretty good. You won't get exactly your downlink speed on speedtests etc, as there are overheads in the PPPoA/PPPoE protocols.

As for the TrueNet stats, we have some work in progress to resolve those.

Yep... just been doing more tests.. must have tried more than a dozen servers.. all the same (With the same terrible upload)

My money's on your internal wiring. Have you done all the usual tests such as a full isolation test? I assume you don't have a master filter installed? If you don't it's probably a good time to get one.

I tried connecting the modem straight to a new 2wire jack attached to the line coming straight from the demarc.. same speed
