Was planning to switch to 2degrees next week when my Telecom smartphone 6 months free stuff finished, but Telecom's 44 cents phone call plan has changed that decision.
Ain't competition wonderful.....

2degrees do have cheaper txt rate 9c, comparing to XT unchanged 20c

If you're on Prepay you get 22c per min calling to 2degrees mobiles, landlines in 22 countries (incl NZ and some overseas mobiles too) and 2c per text to 2degrees mobiles for 30 days - http://www.2degreesmobile.co.nz/prepay/topping-up/top-up-and-get.
