Does a new $10 SIM card come with any credit, or just the number?

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

Was planning to switch to 2degrees next week when my Telecom smartphone 6 months free stuff finished, but Telecom's 44 cents phone call plan has changed that decision.
Ain't competition wonderful.....

If you're on Prepay you get 22c per min calling to 2degrees mobiles, landlines in 22 countries (incl NZ and some overseas mobiles too) and 2c per text to 2degrees mobiles for 30 days - http://www.2degreesmobile.co.nz/prepay/topping-up/top-up-and-get.

Here's the countries you get cheaper calling to - http://www.2degreesmobile.co.nz/prepay/pricing/calling-and-texting-overseas

Now, if you buy a Pay Monthly SIM and sign up successfully.. it gets even better.

Apart from the inclusive Carryover minutes, bonus mins for life, data (1GB per month for 2 years on $39 and above plans), 2500 texts to NZ networks.. the $10 for the SIM comes off your first bill.
