*001# doesn't work on my handset, does anyone know the text code on 2D for finding out my own number on a sim.

Sure did, error message "Not Allowed" I thought there used to be a a text shortcode. 2D gave it to me once but i can't remember it. Tried calling ther CSR's but the waits quite long so i hoped someone on here may know. All good if not.

Can you call a friend using your 2D phone and see the number show up on his/her phone?

Also, you sure you bought a prepay SIM for a blank SIM (for SIM swapping)?

I think it is text MOB to 233 i believe *001# only works if you are in the area where 2 degrees have built there own network

*001# only works in our coverage (it's built into our MSC). Use *101# instead.
