_Allan:Napster: What would you like to know?
How do you know where DSL1, DSL2 and VDSL 8b is mapped?
What should the perfect looking chart look like?
What is DS Band 1, US Band 1 DS Band2?
What is the Pilot reference?
Napster:Not sure on the Pilot Reference tone sorry.
Napster:Here are the specification for each technology.
ADSL1 upto 1.1MHz /256 Carriers
ADSL2+ upto 2.2MHz /512 Carriers
VDSL2 upto 8.8MHz /2048 Carriers 8b Band Plan
VDSL2 upto 17.6Mhz /4096 Carriers 17a Band Plan
You can tell what Band is being used by looking at the Spectrum graph. The blue area is your bit loading. All the bits added together = your sync rate.
You can see that this is extending past 2.2Mhz and also has a 2nd Band which falls under the VDSL2 specifications.
VDSL has multiple Downstream and Upstream Bands. They use this method to optimize both Downstream and Upstream speeds.
Signal loss is much greater at higher frequency's and is also affected by increased power on longer lines.
