I am on the Orcon@Home+ service (Normal phone line with ADSL on LLU network).

As I am on the LLU network, I use '789' to access my voicemail.  Now the voicemail works fine but has very limited number of options.  You can record welcome message and listen to your voicemail but not much else.  Do anyone know of anyway to change the number of rings before the answerphone kicks in.  If I wasn't on the LLU service, I could use the '083210' system but if I try that, the service says can't access my mailbox.

Currently it seems to be almost 9 rings before it answers.

The "number of rings" isn't user controllable; but it is able to be adjusted by the Orcon Helpdesk people.

I moved over to Orcon Genius just over a month ago, and had a similar issue in that the phone rang far too many times to be useful before going to voicemail.

Unfortunately, they don't seem to be able to set it to a "number of rings", rather it seems to be a time-based setting, which is a little odd.   Initially, I asked for 6 rings; and I was given 8 seconds which they thought would be about 6 rings - it isn't!  (More like 3).

After some experimentation, I asked for it to be set to 16 seconds, which does seem to be about 6 rings; and that seems to work well for me.

Cool, thank you for that.  Will drop them a line asking for that change.  I think I will go for the same as you, 6 rings (16 seconds) seem to be a good amount.  Strange that it's not a user setting, hopefully one day.

Quick update, sent email into their helpdesk at 4:20 and got reply back at 5:15 saying all changed for me. Thanks for the advice.
