Hi,

We have just brought a Uniden XDECT 8055 +1 phone.

Now Slingshots caller ID is not working...

Does anyone have any tips or info on what I could try?

What type of Caller ID is Slingshot using? (Type 1 or 2 or something else.)

It was working fine until the new phone. The new phone says it has caller ID type 1 & 2 capabilities.

Any help would be great...

Why just not try all options on the new phone?

Are you sure its actually enabled on the phone?

We just installed callplus SIP at work and suddenly my quite old uniden cordless phone is displaying the caller IDs (it didnt before).

I would think that if you arent using SIP then you would just be getting a bog standard chorus phone plan (resold by callplus) - I dont think callplus would be doing anything 'special' to it.

Hi,

Can't help you from personal experience there sorry, Unidens are known to have compatibility issues on SIP lines but you could contact Uniden and see if they could shed any light. Otherwise I would be hoping you still have your receipt!

Thanks,
Ben

Thanks everyone for your replies.

It turns out that Uniden phones are very particular about their adsl line filters,

My previous phone had caller id working with a dlink line filter.

My new phone will not work with dlink but will work with dynalink.

I rang Uniden and they suggested the line filter...thanks for the suggestion...but... why don't you make a phone to work with all line filters....
