I've recently got my parents a TVPad but they don't have the internet

Looking at signing them up to Slingshot's $81 Better Network plan however on their website it says I have to sign up for a minimum of 12 months. Which is fairly common but there's no freebie to lock one in - i.e. no modem, no free two months or anything.

I do get a free wireless modem plus another 200GB if I sign up for their $69 20GB plan

Does anyone know if I sign my folks up for that whether I can upgrade plans at any time (i.e. to the $81 plan after say 2 months???)

Also - is their refer a friend offer still on?

I'm pretty sure you do get a free modem/router on their $81 plan.

Details here: https://www.slingshot.co.nz/homeline-and-broadband/broadband-setup-guide/

Their website seems to be going undergoing some major changes so a number of pages come up with an error, but did find a cached page, dated 17 August 2012, about the friend referral program. May best to call them tomorrow.

If you can't laugh at yourself then you probably shouldn't laugh at others.

Hi,

You can have a free 1 port (non wireless) modem on the 12 month generic contract as a standard offer.

You can change plan once per month to and from any plan (except Naked broadband).

Hope this helps,

Ben
