Has anyone else on 2 Degree's stopped receiving SMS from Google Calendar alerts?

I was receiving the SMS notifications fine for many months, but from about 2 weeks ago the SMS alerts stopped, I even added multiple new test events, double checked SMS reminder was set, but nothing.
Phone number is still Validated according to my Calendar Mobile Setup.

I have an 021 ported number on 2 Degrees.

Google seem to randomly change their international service providers every once in a while. Some of them can deliver to ported numbers; some of them can't. I have tried to contact them - sent them a fax on 2degrees letterhead and everything - but the truth is, they really don't care.

Unfortunately there's not a whole lot I can do about it. If they don't route the messages to 2degrees, properly, then they don't arrive. Sorry. :-(

My Lumia simply notifies me directly from the calendar (using data) which is a nice solution. Never understood why SMS would be used. For non-data capable phones?

Yep, same here :(
I had it also working for Yahoo! two-step authentication a few days ago. Don't know, whether that has changed, too.
What I never got working so far is with Dropbox two-step authentication.

I take that 2d is quite limited to get this sorted.... :(

This is not a carrier issue

May I please ask for some further explanation? So who's issue is it then?

As a side note - I wonder if Google uses a different provider for their two-factor authentication messages. I've never heard anyone complain about not receiving those, but perhaps a lot less people use the service.

I had times where the Google two-factor authentication SMS would not arrive at all, or arrive after hours. My number is ported from Vodafone to Telecom.

I guess they use many different providers and those all have screwed up tables.

If you want two factor authentication, use Google Authenticator instead. For notifications... Well, alarms on smartphone since it will be with you all the time for authentication anyway.

They're not delivering to Telecom either, so not just a ported number issue.

Google's current provider of SMS services doesn't deliver messages NZ networks/numbers properly.

Apparently the provider probably doesn't care much about fixing this and Google doesn't care much about fixing this either.
