I'm with xnet at the moment on their fusion plan, and i'm happy with them at the moment but I've been thinking about changing to Orcon genius, to save a few dollars.

My only concern with orcon was the customer service. I've read about so many horror stories on here and other places, about the bad service and people being left with no phone or internet for weeks.

How do you guys find the customer service at orcon? Will I regret changing?

I changed recently from Telecom. There was a small hic up along the way and it was Telecom's fault.
Orcon was brilliant and helped as much as they could from their end.
The Customer Service team at Orcon was fantastic.
I don't regret changing in the least and I'm saving about $75 a month.

I, too, have just changed from Telecom to Orcon. The only reason was because Telecom have no UFB plans. I have been very pleased with Telecom service and was sorry to go.

I was put off by earlier reports of people waiting hours for help from Orcon but I had no waits of any significance with the several calls I had to make getting transferred to UFB. Staff were helpful and did what they could within the systems they operated under.

Not to say that ISP's couldn't take a long hard look at the way they (mis)manage jobs like UFB installs. There certainly is room for better case management there.

I have seen very big changes for the better with Telecom support over the last few years and I believe that Orcon must have sharpened up their act as well.

My advice would not to be worried about the genuinely bad complaints registered earlier and give Orcon a try. But don't quote me if your experiences don't match mine!!!
