I just wonder if we can choose to slow down our internet connection when it reach the monthly limit?I know they have the email alert option but I would prefer to set it slow down automatically  so I will not  need to worry if I go over it, especially my home has a few people who using the internet.

i would of thought orcon can offer capped plans. if not use a gargoyle router. im almost 99% sure they can just cap your plan.

This is a service that the isp will need to offer as a plan.
You can slow it down yourself using a router with speed throttling in it, like the abovementioned Gargoyle system, but the excess data will still be seen by orcon as just data and will be accounted for and charged if your plan says so.

Orcon doesn't offer this, no. Nor do they offer email alerting. Just make sure you have enough equity left in your house to cover the mortgage you'll need to cover the overages ($2/GB).

We do offer both email and txt alerts.
On your main account page on the right hand side you will see the option for this.
You can have two alerts setup for different amounts to give you some idea where you are at.

Really?  Hmm.  Nope, just checked.  No alerting option.  Is this not available to those whose account is in the business OU?
