Hi all,

Does anyone know if slingshot have a VDSL service? I called them and they said no, but I recall reading somewhere that they did.

secondly do you require a VDSL modem for the vdsl service or will the adsl 2+ modem do the trick?

Do any other ISP's provide a VDSL service?

Regards

There are around 20 ISP's now offering VDSL2 services.

To get VDSL2 you need a VDSL2 capable modem.

Thanks, just been trawling the net and found a service map, and looks as though my cabinet is only adsl 2+ capable anyway.

Cheers

Lots of ISP's do. Unleash, Snap, Voyager, HD, the list is fairly big now.

At this stage slingshot do no do VDSL.

Personally I don't like VDSL becuase its screwing up our cabling if you have two VDSL connections to close to each other in the same copper bundle it can interfere with each other and also interfere with another ADSL connections. The more VDSL2+ Connections the worse it gets.

VDSL is good for large buildings apartment buildings etc.... fiber to the building VDSL to the door....
