A good news tale.....
My daughter moved from Auckland back to Tauranga, and into a new flat. On my recommendation signed up to Genius - she was with Telecom at the old flat.
She did it all online on Friday, including selecting a phone number, which she thought was quite cool.The modem arrived on Saturday(!) and the connection was due to be switched on Wednesday.It was.
Internet and phone worked as soon as it was plugged in on the day that Orcon said it was.
She is over the moon, I am stoked that nothing went wrong as it would all be "my fault".Sounds like the teething issues regarding Genius implementation are behind you :)
This is a boring story but I just wanted to express my thanks for a job well done.
