Since I upgraded my SGS3 my snapper (on SIM) card can't be found. Anybody got any ideas what I should try? was working before that.

Was this an official upgrade issued by 2degrees or did you download the ROM from anywhere else?

Reports are that it works fine. Have you made sure NFC is turned on?

Not even getting to the point where I tried to use it. The app just comes back saying "not found". Tried snapper people they say try 2degrees, 2degrees say try snapper. will try 2degrees again

There was an update on the app recently. Are you running the latest one?

sure is. it's really odd.

And yep running the latest version. it's like either the SIM has become unreadable or the phone can't read it. really strange

Hi there,

We are aware that some customers with a Touch2Pay Samsung Galaxy S III who have updated to Android’s  Jelly Bean 4.1.1 are experiencing issues with the Snapper widget saying ‘not found’ (when the phone has been turned off and back on again) or they can’t access the Snapper Mobile app as soon as they have loaded the phone. We are currently working on a solution and will update the app in Google Play once we have a fix. The root cause appears to be a timing issue related to the SIM Alliance Open Mobile API.

In the meantime, there is a workaround for this issue:

1. Remove the widget. To do this, hold the Snapper widget and move it to 'Delete' (Trash can)

2. Restart your phone

3. Once your phone has loaded completely, please wait 60 seconds before you try to access the Snapper Mobile app.

With the Snapper Mobile app you’ll be able to see your real-time Snapper balance, and access a detailed view of your Snapper. Please note, this issue won’t affect the ability to pay with your phone. If you haven’t already done so, we recommend that you tick ‘Allow automatic updating’ for the Snapper Mobile app in Google Play so that you’ll receive any Snapper Mobile app updates automatically when they become available.

We would like to apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Thanks,

Team Snapper

Well done Snapper for this info. It is working this way.

Might need to update your front line staff as they had no idea and sent me back to 2degrees.

I can confirm the issue, it happens with the official 2degrees firmware 4.1.1 and my customized Polish 4.1.2 that supports 2degrees Touch2Pay.

They work for some time then you get the "Not found" message, please put in mind the following:
1- the phone works, there is nothing wrong with it
2- the Touch2Pay sim can still be used on the bus or wherever, you won't be able to access it through the phone though.
3- you can still view and topup other snapper cards using your phone, it will take about 20 seconds for the phone to read/write to it though (much much slower)

2Degrees please let us know how this goes. Cheers,

Oh sorry, this is not a 2degrees issue, Snapper is taking care of this I guess.
