Re the promotion 2D did a few weeks ago with their $19 txt combo, "loyal" customers were offered a $9 refund on the 1st instance of a $19 txt combo purchase, if it was bought before December 15. The refund according to the T&C in the e-mail was promised to be completed by Dec 21.

Checked my account balance today and there's been credit.

Anyone else had theirs go through?

Just to follow up my own post, here is a quick response from 2D support - not sure if this is canned but anyway.

Thank you for your email.
We are sorry this has not been applied and we are investigating this issue still. We hope to have the matter resolved by next week at the latest for the missed credit to be applied, thank you for your patience

Never heard of this promotion. How was it advertised (I don't do Facebook) ..
Guess I wasn't loyal enough ($10 text combo from April 2011 to September 2011, then $19 combo since)

How does this work? i know multiple people who have been in the 19data and 19text combos for a good while now. Some have swapped from one to the other though.

It was 'advertised' in the promo e-mail. They have done the refund now.

I think it was targetted more at disloyal customers, I have two numbers with them, the one that has done about $20 in the last 6 months got the offer, the one that has done about $200 in that same time did not get the offer.

It appears to be based on tenure and looked like a Christmas campaign. In the email they sent with the offer, it mentioned how I had been with them since 2009. My sister who became a 2degrees prepaid customer last year didn't receive this offer.

2 Degrees recently had a promo where only 7000 customers were offered 100 text packs for $2. In fairness surely this could have been offered to all customers on prepay who wished to take up the offer. Considering voice termination rates are now at about 3 cents per minute for making a off net call I consider the casual rate off 44 cents per minute a total rip off.

They have to pay their staff and build and maintain a network, you can't expect it to be free!

I didn't expect it to be free I just consider a casual voice rate of 44 cents per minute  a rip off.

However if you are going to call something a loyalty program and not offer it to all people who meet the same criteria then it's not really a loyalty thing at all...as in been a 2D customer since launch and I didn't see or even receive a email from them with anything along these lines.

Don't care about missing but if you are going to advise of a criteria that has been used then at least incluide all who meet it, it's a principal thing.
