Just read this on Twitter:

http://twitter.com/2degreesmobile/status/284538272800198657

Poor woman got her iPhone stolen and she cannot even get 2degrees to block the phone.

Why 2degress still have no ability to block stolen phones?  If this service is in place, I bet the ** alternative ** market of phones will vanish overnight.

Any comments / thoughts?

I thought that 2degrees were blocking phones on their network, as the Twitter post mentions.

What they don't do however is share their data with VF or Telecom or load the shared VF/ Telecom database into their EIR.

We can now block IMEIs on our network, as mentioned in the tweet. :)

Doesn't Vodafone share with its sibling companies overseas?

That's not what that person's follow up tweet says - looks like your customer service people told her it wasn't possible.  Has the info not filtered down yet?

But the customer said when she talked to someone from the call centre, the operator said it can't be done. That is why I'm confused.
